Our little girl is now two years old! She loves friends, baby dolls, dress-up, and play dough. She is full of energy and climbs on everything. She wakes up every morning around 06:30 with "Kate's awake!" She sings nursery rhythms constantly. Kate loves to get her finger nails painted and put on lip balm/lip stick/make-up. She has recently learned to open up doors, take off her pants and panties, and is potty trained both day/night. She definitely makes our life more fun!
For her birthday, we were in Cologne, Germany for a fasching parade, but we celebrated later that week when neither mom or dad had activities. Kate is an expert at unwrapping gifts. She got dress-up/princess clothes, arts and craft supplies, new bedding for her big girl bed, books, and new clothes.
My cake skills aren't the greatest, especially when the supplies break while using! I had to improvise. Oh well, you just eat the darn thing.
We invited our neighbors, the Weisner's, over for cake and ice cream.
The following Saturday, we had a joined birthday party for Kate and Emme. We rented out the play group room on post and just let the kids play, opened presents, and ate cake. It was perfect!
Cute little accessories for the birthday girls.
Care bear cake with rainbow strips in the middle. Our little friend Emme got to the cake before it was time to eat. Kate didn't even notice the finger prints dug into the "birthday" writing. Kate was gifted mega blocks, a xylophone, books, and her first barbie.
Kate also got her first hair cut. I just trimmed the bottom, so the top would grow to meet up with the bottom. Right now it looks like a little bob. Super cute. Although I missed a few spots because she only would stay still for a few seconds and I am no pro!
We sure love our little Kit Kate!
