Bryan works 2-3 days every month at an eye clinic in Maui.

The girls had a blast staying with our dear friends, the Chambers.

When we got back from our trip, we went Christmas caroling.

After we celebrated Christmas in Hawaii, the girls and I flew to Utah for a week. The girls were super excited to be cold, touch the snow, visit cousins, and open presents from grandma and grandpa.

We drove up to Bear Lake with Kim and her family. Kate and Jane couldn't wait for grandpa to pull them behind the 4-wheeler like they saw their Koplin cousins do last year.

We enjoyed 2 days of skiing at Beaver Mountain. This was my first time skiing here and I absolutely loved it.

July 2023

We spent the 4th of July at Bear Lake with my mom and dad, Linsey's family, and Kim's family. We enjoyed everything the area has to offer- sand, water, forest, games, and old town parades.

Before we moved, I had some last minute shopping to do around SLC. The girls enjoyed all the fun displays at Scheels.

Our move was pretty stressful and I wanted to document the SUV we had to drive to San Francisco from Salt Lake. We had to fly Howie out of California due to weather and his size having to fly as cargo. We rented a truck, but the company would only allow us a midsize SUV to travel across state boundaries. Therefore, we had to strap Howie's crate to the top. I just prayed the whole time it would not fly off during our 12 hour drive. Thankfully, it didn't. We made it.

We flew out of San Francisco, so of course I showed the kids my old stomping grounds.

We dropped the dog off early in the morning without ANY difficulties. In fact, I was a little frustrated that I had stressed so much over Howie's crate and ALL his paperwork, because the airline hardly looked at anything! Just for your information, it takes about 2-3 months to prepare your animal for flying to Hawaii because of their quarantine. So stressful!

Off to Hawaii!

Waiting for our ride to take us to the animal quarantine station to pick up Howie. Not too much luggage. In fact, our household goods were already on the island and ready for delivery in 2 days. Yeah for things working out!

We signed the paperwork to our house 3 days prior to flying to Hawaii. We were able to leave Howie at our house while we were living in a hotel for a few days. The allowed us a place of peace while the movers brought all our household goods and we unpacked/organized the chaos.

Exploring the area around our house.

Watching the sunset at Ko Olina.

Celebrating Jane's birthday with 2 desserts!

Swimming at Turtle Bay.

Hiking the Kolekole Trail.

This was our first family hike. I soon realized I needed to read the reviews on hikes before taking the girls. This trail was much too advanced with ropes, mud, and ridgelines. The girls enjoyed the hike until we had to turn around and go back down. We have learned since to bring towels and baby wipes to clean up afterwards. Oh, and not to bring the fancy car (Tesla) when we go to the beach or on a hike. Ha!

Our neighbor dropped off a papaya. This one was HUGE!

We climbed the Koko Head stairs. I told the girls we could have donuts afterwards, so they were pretty motivated. The views are epic!

Leonard's Malasadas!
