Kate turns 6

My children have never been to Chuck E Cheese before.  However, every time we drive by they scream out "Chuck E Cheese!".  Kate and Jane wanted Kate to have her birthday party there.  The whole month Jane would say "I can't wait for your birthday party to be at Chuck E Cheese".

Both of their wishes came true and it was the "best day ever!" according to Kate.

Kate wanted it to be Incredibles theme.  She even dressed up as Violet.

We had lots of friends from school join us- Duke, Joshua, Isaiah, Cullen, Eleanor, Emily, Jane, and Benjamin.

Kate got gift cards, candy, legos, bath bombs, a writing journal, harmonica, and sunglasses.  She loved everything about the party.

As you can see, the party really wore Jane out.

Later that evening, we had a little family celebration where Kate opened up gifts from grandma and grandpa Koplin and mom, dad, and Jane.  She got a new bike, legos, pipe cleaners, boots, and tennis shoes.

We enjoyed left over cake from the party.

Kate is such an energetic child.  She plays hard all day and then she crashes.  At gymnastics, she is the one bouncing up and down in line waiting for her turn.  She loves all the chewy candy- gummy bears, starburst, skittles, sour patch, gum, and blow pops.  She will eat most everything placed before her at dinner.  Her favorite sandwich is mayo, meat, and cheese.  Mac 'n cheese is still her favorite dish.  Purple, pink, and rainbow are her favorite colors.  She knows all her letters and their sounds.  She can count to 100 and count backwards from 30.  She loves reading and being read to.  She has learned how to follow the instructions to build Lego projects.  Her best friend is Emily.  She wishes mom could pick her up at parent pick-up every day.  She has lost a total of 4 teeth- two on bottom middle and two on top middle.  She loves to be cuddled, held, and tickled.  Kate has so many emotions and is sensitive like her mother.  I have caught her crying in a couple movies we've watched.  It warms my heart.  She is mostly kind to her little sister, especially when Jane is nervous or scared.  She is a wonderful helper and loves her mommy dearly.  She often asks me to put make up on her or paint her nails when she sees me getting ready for the day.  We sure love her! Happy birthday Kate!

February 2019

I can't believe how quickly February came!  Bryan and I have been busy with work, our kids, and prepping the interior of our house for painting.  In the mean time, we also...
...shopped for new cowboy boots at Cavender's.  Jane wanted a pair too, but I told her this was a present for Kate because she is turning 6 soon.  We actually ended up getting a pair of boots from Walmart for a lot cheaper, and Kate seemed even more happy about them.

We dressed up as a little, old lady for the hundredth day of school.

We got all dressed up for a daddy-daughter Royal Ball at the YMCA.  The girls were so excited about wearing make-up and getting their nails painted.  Lots of accessories too!

The girls made fancy Valentine boxes for school.  Kate made hers at school.  I actually made Jane's because we found out about it 2 days before Valentines Day.  And unfortunately, she didn't have time to complete the box.  So I stayed up late completing my daughters work.  Didn't think that would happen at such an early age!  She did draw on it in the morning.  And she did like what I created.  That is all that matters, right?

The girls got lots of candy, toys, and stickers/tattoos for Valentines Day.

I took Bryan shooting at The Gun Range for Valentines Day.  We shot at hearts! How romantic.

Kate turned 6 years old! We had a party at Chuck E Cheese.  She told me it was "the best birthday ever!"
