Jane is One!

And just like that, Jane is one year old.  We are crazy in love with her.  Our family would not be the same without her squishy, giggle-y, cuddle-y spirit.  She started seriously walking June 20th.  Bryan claims she did a few steps June 16th on the beaches of Spain.  She feels the most confident with a hand to hold and usually signs for someone to walk with her.  Lots of new words and sounds this month- "da" for dog, "ba" for bird, "boo" for book, and of course "mama" and "dada".  Our family took a vacation to Croatia/Slovenia and she loved splashing in the water and playing in the sand and rocks.  We can't believe she is getting so big so quick! Stop growing now!!
Happy Birthday Jane!

Mom's attempt to make a "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" cake the day after a super long vacation.

We had friends and family come over for a small barbeque, the Sebourn family and the Ellison family.  All the kids helped Jane open her presents.  She received a dress, soft foam blocks, a tunnel/castle tent, play dough, puzzles, and crayons/markers/paper.  Ohh...and lots of fun stuff to tear up!
We have been practicing blowing out candles with Jane for about a month, but she still needed help from her patient big sister Kate.  Afterwards, it took awhile for her to dig into the cake.
Not so shy now!

We love our Jane-jane!

Jane 11 months

Such a delight to raise this little squish!  She is more interested in walking with finger assist from mommy or daddy.  When she is distracted with a toy or paper, she will take a few steps on her own.  She loves to pull books off the shelf, play with the telephone cords, climb anything, and talk/scream "uh-uh" when she wants food or water or being held or sees an animal.  Jane traveled to Spain and Gibraltar this month.  Her highlight of the trip was eating sand, watching the monkeys swing from the trees, and splashing in the Mediterranean sea.
Finally caught Jane walking on video.  June 21, 2016.

Jane 10 months

Can you believe she is 10 months old? Jane is such a sweet baby.  These last few days she has been a little on the cranky side- not sure if she is teething, sick, tired or just really hungry!  She prefers to stand or upright crawl.  She has taken a few steps on her own, but isn't too balanced at it.  She is climbing up the stairs and chairs and people and the cozy coupe.  Her favorite food is yogurt.  She can hear you open one up from a room away!  She is adventuring more in the food department- macaroni and cheese, broccoli, cheese, peanut butter & jelly sandwich.  I am still breastfeeding but not as often.  This month Jane went to Italy for the first time.  So far, she has been to Germany, Austria, Switzerland, USA, France, Slovakia, and Italy.  We love our little Jane-jane!

Jane's crawl

This is how Jane crawls these days- upright.  So silly!

Jane 9 months

She is really beginning to love eating real foods.  She loves pears, apples, blueberries, bananas, crackers, and can drink from a sippy cup.  She still loves on the BM though.  Jane is scaling the furniture and can stand alone for 5-10 seconds, especially when distracted with a toy in her hand.  She has lots of new teeth coming in, which may be why she is liking foods more.  This month she traveled to Vienna, Austria and Bratislava, Slovakia.  Oh, and she completed her first half marathon! Go Jane!  We love her smiles and giggles.  She is super ticklish and gets attacked by all of us.  Poor thing! We love our Jane-jane!

Jane 8 months

Look at this cute little face! Jane is starting to slim down a bit from all her crawling and standing.  We love how she sleeps through the night.  Jane is still loving on the breast milk, especially since she is cutting some of her top teeth.  However, she loves food that she can pick up with her own two hands.  She still only has the two bottom teeth and we are anxiously waiting for those top teeth to break through- hopefully before I fly back to Germany! We flew to Arizona to visit our cousins in Phoenix.  We enjoyed playing in the splash pad, water tubing, the sun, and hiking.  Daddy finally finished his Army course and came to Utah to visit the family.  Jane is having a hard time warming up, but is easily distracted with food or toys.  This months biggest milestone was climbing up the stairs!

Jane 7 months

The best way to describe Jane is a pear.  She has the most delicious butt and thighs! She is pulling up and standing more than she is crawling.  She just wants to grow up too quick for my liking.  Foods she has eaten include carrots, grapes, pears, oatmeal, puffs, rice rufts, green beans, and breads.  Breast milk is currently her favorite though.  Jane is sleeping through the night for the most part- her and Kate are sharing a room at grandma and grandpa Koplin's and sometimes Kate wakes her up.  This month she visited the aquarium, the dinosaur museum, the children's museum in Lehi, and lots of cousins houses.  Sledding on mom's back was probably the biggest highlight of the month!

Jane 6 months

I love this baby.  She is so squishy.  Why do they have to grow so fast?  Jane is now a transcontinental traveler.  She has taken to the pacifier since our long flight to America.  She decided to grow two bottom teeth one day before our long trip.  She sat up by herself the day before daddy left for America and a week later decided to start crawling.  Now she is working on standing up with support! I am very please to announce she has started sleeping through the night.  We have even started her on real food.  She has experienced sweet potatoes, green beans, squash, and bananas.  It is such a joy to watch her grow and develop.  We love her to pieces.

Jane 5 months

Sweet little rollie pollie.  Jane has slept through the night two times.  She is getting up on her hands and knees and pushing herself backwards.  She has had licks of apple, banana, soft pretzel, and carrot.  I don't think she is ready for food yet, but she sure loves putting "food" in her mouth.  It is so fun to see her watch Kate play around her and include her in some of her play.  We are loving on our sweet little girl and can't believe she is growing and moving so fast!

Jane 4 months

Jane is such a sweet, chubby bunny.  I love her little laughs and giggles.  She is ticklish under her neck and armpits.  The best, is her giggles while changing her clothes.  She is rolling from her back to belly, but prefers to lie on her back and watch Kate dance around.  Jane has started drooling and sucking on her fingers.  I have put gloves on her hands at night, so we don't have another thumb sucker!  No big adventures this month because we still don't have her USA citizenship or passport!

Love the thighs and dimples in her knees!

Jane 3 months

Jane is getting fat! Lots of rolls on her legs, arms, and belly.  Dimples on her knees.  Mow hawk hair on top and a party in the back.  Sleeping 5-6 hour stretches at night.  Loves to stand and put her fingers in her mouth.  Jane's newest tricks are babbling and laughing.

Jane 2 months

Our baby is 13 pounds and 23 3/4 inches long.  She is having stretches of 3-6 hours of sleep during the night.  I tried to give her the bottle (while Bryan was in the hospital), but she wanted nothing to do with it.  Just like Kate.  She is starting to smile and coo.  Tummy time is not a favorite activity, but she was a perfect champ in the car seat during our drives up to Weiden.  We love you Jane!

Jane at One Month

Our sweet little Jane is already one month.  To me, she doesn't look anything like a newborn.  She has fat rolls and a big tummy.  She wakes every 3-4 hours at night to nurse, and boy is she good at eating.  She is able to hold her head up for long periods of time and is beginning to stand on her legs.  Jane is trying to keep up with her big sisters athletic abilities.  She has discovered her hands and takes a pacifier to help calm her down.  She has already visited 2 other countries outside of Germany- Austria and Switzerland.  We sure have enjoyed our time with this sweet girl and already want her to stop growing!

Kate has already become a great big sister; protective and concerned about Jane and her whereabouts.

Jane and her little boyfriend Eddy.
We were able to bless Jane while my parents came to visit.  I need to get better pictures of Jane in her blessing dress before she outgrows it.  She slept through the whole blessing.  Such a good little baby.
