April showers...

Kate had her 2 month appointment with all the shots included. She weighed 10 lbs 7.5 oz and 22 inches long.  Her hands are now opened 50% of the time, smiles at familiar faces, she tracks movement (she tends to always be looking at her left though), coos up a storm, and sleeps very well through the night (wakes around 2-3 am only). She is absolutely delightful!
Starting to get some baby fat! Still fits in 0-3 month clothes just fine.
She has got the stare down.  She definitely would win in the No Blinking contest.
She is super good at working those eye muscles, just like her daddy.
Bryan finally took his paternity leave from April 1-10.  He couldn't exactly do it earlier with Air Assault School and training out in the field.  It was nice to have him around.  I think its better later because I was starting to get tired- the adrenaline of being a mother finally turned off! While on leaven, we drove up to Oklahoma to visit with Grandma and Grandpa Ahlborn, Amy & Dallas, Renae & kids, Becky & kids, and Adam.  It was fun to show off little Miss Kate.  The little kids were always wanting to hold her and touch her head.  We mostly hung out at home because the weather was pretty random and cold.  I got a little sick while I was there and then Bryan got a little sick when we came back home to Louisiana.
I wish this photo weren't blurry.  Its pretty cute of us.

Kate had her first babysitter 20 April.  Bryan's friend Rocio helped me out while I was in Houston for drill.  Bryan accidentally signed up for the Tough Mudder the same weekend I had drill.  She did fabulous for Rocio and I now feel good about putting her in day care while I work.

Rebekah finally got a job! (well, if you don't count the Reserves) I was hired at the army hospital, but because of the furlough and civilian hiring freeze, I don't think I'll be working there until the new fiscal year in October.  So I got hired at the local hospital in the Emergency Department this past week.  I am super excited to be learning something new, as I have never been in the ER.  The shifts are really flexible, so it will work out great with Kate.

Bryan is super excited about our new fixer upper! Since this area lacks things to do, he (not we) decided to flip a house in the area. I just get to pick out the paint color, carpet, and fixtures.  We most likely will live in it after its all pretty and then sell it/rent it out. Should be a good project for him.  If only the bank would finish so we can finally close!

We will post some pictures of the house later, they will be the "before" pictures. Kate is beautiful and fun to play with. Rebekah has done a wonderful job being a mom and teaches me what the "books" say about what Kate needs or what we should do for her. I am still learning.
