December Happenings

To keep myself occupied, I have been decorating the nursery. My parents bought Bryan and I a chest deep freezer for Christmas. Since we have limited room in our apartment home, I made a dust ruffle to cover the freezer act, acting as a changing table. Cute huh?
Then I recovered a bumper Bryan's mom gave us, to go more with the neutral theme. I am doing yellow and grey for now, and then when we find out the sex, I will add splashes of blue or pink.
Christmas morning was fun! Santa must have thought we were really good all year. The weather wasn't cooperative though. We had flash floods and tornado warnings. Crazy!
Santa brought us a Recaro baby car seat, Burley bike trailer/jogger, Tangled, Cinderella, Despicable Me, black cowboy boots, lasers for the 45 and glock, printed digital scrapbook for 2010 & 2011, 3 prong curling iron and hair dryer, life vests, and bed sheets.
This is me Christmas Day (33 3/7) before going out to see Jack Reacher. It was actually a really good Tom Cruise movie, highly recommend. We wanted to see Les Miserables, but our theater didn't have it :(
We went to the Festival of Lights in Natchitoches, LA. It's a fun tourist town where the movie Steel Magnolia was filmed. They had snow blowing machines, a live band, a zip line, boutique and antique shopping, a light show, and fireworks. It will definitely be something we will do next year!

Oh, we also celebrated our 7th Year Anniversary this month. Crazy huh? I made a delectable steak, with acorn squash, sweet potatoes, and broccoli for dinner and then we enjoyed a Netflick's movie on the couch. How special!

Sounds like a wonderful Christmas! So excited for you guys to become parents - you're going to love it. The nursery looks lovely. Thanks again for your Christmas card! Next year I'll be better and send them out.

P.S. Love that you are wearing your Ranger Challenge sweatshirt - Richard wears his all the time, too!
