Waiting...

One thing that really errks me with the Army is the hurry up and wait game. Mostly the waiting, I can handle the hurrying up. I have been waiting for April for 4 months now. I am suppose to get orders that will decide my future for my last two years in the military. But who knows when in April I am suppose to get these orders. Now, mid month, or right before May. Am I going to Iraq or am I going to San Antonio? I found out in December I was suppose to deploy with the 21st CSH to Iraq for 6 months. Then, a couple weeks ago, my boss told me that medical deployments were being cut and I might not have to go. So I applied to go to a 4 month nursing course specializing in intensive care nursing in San Antonio just in case I don't end up going over seas, with the intent of moving thereafter. So my life is kindof on hold right now until I get those orders. I hate waiting.

Yuck. Waiting is not fun.
I actually thought of Dr. Seuss' book, "Oh The The Places You'll Go" when I read this post b/c there is a page dedicated to people waiting and Dr. Seuss goes on and on about the different things that people spend their time waiting for.
RANDOM side note! haha. Sorry 'bout that. Didn't mean to make light of your situation....just the thought that popped into my "mom brain." :)

Wow, that is just crazy. Let us know when you find out. I can't imagine just waiting to see where you will spend the next two years!

Wow, that's some big news to be waiting for. I have a hard enough time waiting to know where we're ending up when we're the ones in charge of making the decisions. Since it is now mid-month, hopefully you'll be finding out soon.
